Terms of Use

These Terms govern use of the Plathix website and the free Plathix WordPress plugin by users worldwide. The service is operated by Aleksei Romashov, SZČO, an individual entrepreneur / sole trader established in Slovakia.
1. Plathix Free
Plathix Free is a WordPress plugin for organising files within the WordPress Media Library. The functionality available to you is determined by the version you install and its current documentation.
2. Open-source licence
Plugin code distributed under the GNU General Public License is licensed under the applicable GPL terms. Nothing in these Terms is intended to restrict rights granted directly by the GPL.
GPL rights are separate from rights relating to the Plathix trademark, logos, website content, documentation not distributed under the GPL, support services and hosted infrastructure.
3. Website use
- Do not use the website or infrastructure unlawfully.
- Do not attempt unauthorised access or interfere with security or availability.
- Do not distribute malware or abuse support/contact systems.
- Do not impersonate others or infringe third-party rights.
4. Free availability
The Plathix version covered by these Terms is offered without a purchase requirement. These Terms do not create a paid subscription, automatic renewal, paid licence or purchase-based refund entitlement. If paid products are introduced later, separate or updated commercial terms will apply before sale.
5. Compatibility
WordPress installations differ by WordPress version, PHP version, hosting environment, themes, plugins and server configuration. We do not guarantee compatibility with every possible configuration. Supported requirements are stated in the applicable release documentation.
6. Backups and site administration
You remain responsible for administering your WordPress website and maintaining appropriate backups before significant changes, migrations or potentially disruptive operations.
7. Third-party services
WordPress.org and third-party software are governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party software or services outside our control.
8. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Plathix Free and the website are provided without guarantees that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every configuration, or compatible with every future third-party release. Mandatory rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss resulting from use of Plathix or the website. This does not exclude or limit liability where applicable law does not allow that exclusion or limitation.
10. Intellectual property
Plathix is jointly owned by Daniil Romashov and Aleksei Romashov. Intellectual property rights in the original Plathix software, branding, documentation and other proprietary materials are held by the respective rightsholders, subject to the GNU General Public License for software code distributed under the GPL.
11. Security
Good-faith security research should follow our Security Policy.
12. Applicable law and consumer rights
The operator is established in Slovakia. These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the law of your country of habitual residence.
13. International users
Plathix is made available internationally. You are responsible for complying with laws that apply to your own use of the plugin, while we remain responsible for obligations that apply to us as the operator.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms when Plathix, the website or applicable requirements change. The current version will show its effective date.
