Folders for Charitable campaigns
Nonprofits run the same campaigns every year: the winter appeal, the summer camp, a gala, a matched-giving week. Each year adds a new set to the Campaigns list.
Plathix PRO adds private folders to the Charitable campaigns list in wp-admin. Group campaigns by year, program or grant and open one folder at a time. Campaign pages, goals and donations stay as they are.
Every appeal you ever ran
The Campaigns list keeps every campaign: this year’s appeals, last year’s copies, finished campaigns, test campaigns from when you set up the site.
Campaign categories and tags are public, and so is each campaign page. They are for donors. Notes like ‘grant report due’ or ‘copy for next year’ belong somewhere only your team sees.
Every year, a copy of last year’s campaign
Campaigns pile up in a nonprofit’s list. Each year brings a copy of last year’s, the old ones are switched off, and test campaigns from the setup stay too.
Campaigns run every year. Each year, last year’s campaign is copied instead of being built again.
Old campaigns are switched off and set to draft, but they still show up next to the current ones.
Demo and test campaigns that someone else made are still there.
Folders give each year, program and test campaign its own place in wp-admin. Ending or hiding a campaign stays in Charitable.
Folders that match your fundraising year
By year
When you copy last year’s appeal, file the new one under the new year. Old years stay together and easy to compare.
By program
Camp, food bank, scholarships: each program keeps its campaigns in one place.
Grant-funded
Campaigns tied to a grant sit together, so the grant report starts from one list.
Finished and test campaigns
Ended appeals and test campaigns from the site setup go to their own folders. Their pages stay as they are, so set test campaigns to draft if donors should not find them.
A folder panel for Campaigns
A folder tree next to the list
The panel sits beside the Campaigns list. Click a folder and the list shows only its campaigns.
Search inside a folder
Search and status tabs work inside the open folder.
Counts per folder
Each folder shows how many campaigns it holds, drafts included. Trash is not counted.
A link for each folder
The address changes when you open a folder, so you can bookmark it or send it to a teammate.
Your donors never see your folders
| What you do | What changes | What stays as it is |
|---|---|---|
| Put a campaign in a folder | Its Plathix folder | The campaign, its goal and its end date |
| Rename or move a folder | The folder tree in wp-admin | Every campaign page and its address |
| Someone donates | Charitable records the donation, as before | The campaign’s folder |
| Trash a campaign, then restore it | Its Trash state | Its folder: it comes back to the same place |
| Turn Plathix PRO off | The list looks like plain WordPress | Your folders wait in the database and come back |
Folders have no URLs and never appear on the site.
How we test Charitable
We run each check on a live site with Plathix PRO and the current Charitable version, on the real Campaigns screen.
Status Planned
Results go to Plathix Lab. Each row turns into a link once it has run.
| Check | What we verify | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Enable campaigns | Turn on Campaigns in Enabled Sections; the panel appears on the Campaigns list. | Planned |
| Charitable columns | Check the list columns with folders on; Charitable sets its own. | Planned |
| Date filters | Folder filter together with the Charitable date filters. | Planned |
| Campaign page unchanged | A campaign page and its donation form look the same after filing it in a folder. | Planned |
| Trash and restore | A trashed campaign comes back to its folder. | Planned |
