Folders for LifterLMS courses
Every Clone adds a draft called “… (Clone)”. Every Detach leaves a lesson with no course. After a few cohorts, the Courses and Lessons lists hold every version you ever made.
Plathix PRO adds private folders to the LifterLMS lists in wp-admin. Group courses by version, client or cohort, keep detached lessons in one place and file memberships apart. Categories, tracks, the catalog and student access stay as they are.
Clones, detached lessons and last year’s courses
LifterLMS makes reuse easy. Clone a course or a lesson and you get a draft with “(Clone)” after the name. Detach a lesson and it stays in the Lessons list, without a course.
The Lessons list can be filtered by course, and categories, tags and tracks organize the catalog for students. None of them is a private place for “to finish”, “to delete later” or “last spring’s cohort”.
Similar names, and lists that grow fast
LifterLMS owners notice it in the Lessons list first. Names repeat across courses, and the count keeps climbing.
Many lessons in different courses have similar names. Only the Course and Section columns tell them apart.
The Lessons list can grow to hundreds very quickly.
A basic and a VIP version of one course end up as two separate courses, side by side.
We need 200 unique coupon codes, one for each person.
Folders give each version, each client and each batch of codes its own place, next to the filters LifterLMS already has.

Clones to finish
Every new “(Clone)” goes to one folder until it is ready. Clones start as drafts, and drafts count in the folder.
Detached lessons
Lessons without a course are easy to lose in a long list. Keep them in one folder and decide later: reuse, attach or delete.
By client or team
Training for different companies, or courses for different departments, each in its own folder.
Past cohorts
A course you ran for one intake can stay open for its students. Its folder keeps it out of your way: you open the folder you work in, not the whole list.

Memberships have their own list and their own tree: bundles, monthly plans, partner offers.

The course catalog never sees your folders

Folders have no URLs and never appear in the catalog or on lesson pages.

We run each check on a live site with Plathix PRO and the current LifterLMS version, on the real LifterLMS lists.
