Folders for multilingual sites
A 200-page site in four languages can mean hundreds of translated entries to keep straight.
Separate content by project, section, or stage without turning your folder structure into something visitors see. Polylang or WPML keeps handling languages and translations; Plathix PRO adds the admin folders.
Four languages, four times the pages
Every translation is another entry in the Pages or Posts list. A site with 200 pages in four languages shows your team 800 rows.
The language filter cuts the list by language, not by project. Finding the pages of one campaign in every language still means scanning.
Content Folders adds the second layer: group the work by project, section or stage, while the multilingual plugin keeps languages and translations in its hands.
Folders that fit how a multilingual team works
By project
A campaign and all its translations in one folder.
By section
Services, Legal, Support: the same sections in every language.
By language, if you work that way
Some teams work one language at a time. Folders can follow that too.
Translation stage
To translate, in review, done: see what is left before a launch.
Visitors never see your folders
| What you do | What changes | What stays as it is |
|---|---|---|
| Put a page in a folder | Its Plathix folder | Language, translations, URL |
| Group a project’s pages in every language | The folder tree in wp-admin | The language switcher, menus, pages |
| Rename a folder | The folder tree in wp-admin | Every page on the site |
| Turn Plathix PRO off | The lists look like plain WordPress | Your folders wait in the database and come back |
Folders have no URLs and never appear in a language switcher or on the site.
How we test Content Folders on multilingual sites
We run each check on a live site with Plathix PRO and a multilingual plugin, on the real Pages and Posts screens.

Passed checks link to their results in Plathix Lab. The others are in progress.

| PRO off and on | Deactivate PRO, then reactivate it. Folder structure and assignments return. | Passed |
| Language filter with a folder | Open a folder and switch the language filter of the multilingual plugin. | In progress |
