Content Folders on real WordPress lists
Content Folders puts a private folder tree on the WordPress lists a team works in every day. These checks run on a live site with Plathix PRO: turn content types on, file posts, pages and products, switch PRO off and on, delete and restore a folder, and repeat on Polylang and WPML sites. Some checks have passed; the rest are in progress.
The claim we are testing
“Plathix PRO adds an admin-only folder tree to supported WordPress content lists. Organize the work without changing URLs, categories, parent pages, publishing status, or what visitors see.”
Why this is worth testing
A folder lives next to the content people publish. If filing a page changed its address, its status or what visitors see, it would cost more than the order it brings. So every check reads the item before and after filing, and runs on the real admin screens rather than a demo.
What we check
- Turn content types on in Settings → General → Enabled Sections and open each list.
- Create folders, file items, switch between folders and compare each folder with All.
- Read each item’s address, status, categories and parent page before and after filing.
- Change folders from Quick Edit.
- Deactivate and reactivate PRO, and enter the licence on a site that ran Free only.
- Delete a content folder and restore it.
- Repeat the folder workflow on a Polylang site and on a WPML site.

How we tested
Manual runs by the Plathix team in October 2026 on live WordPress sites with Plathix Free and Plathix PRO 1.0.0. The multilingual checks ran once on a Polylang site and once on a WPML site. Rows marked In progress have not run yet.
Known limits
- These checks cover standard WordPress list screens. Plugins that replace the list with their own screen are not part of them.
- Each plugin page under Content Folders lists its own checks; they run separately from this suite.
Not covered yet
- Multisite networks.
- Carrying folders to another site with WordPress export and import (WXR).
