Folders for WP Event Manager events

Organizers submit events, you approve them, they run, and WP Event Manager marks them Expired. A year later the list holds hundreds of expired events next to the new ones.

Plathix PRO adds private folders to the events, organizers and venues lists. Group events by year, client or series, and open just the folder you need. Event pages, their status and their addresses stay as they are.

Every expired event in one pile

When an event ends, WP Event Manager marks it Expired. The Expired tab then holds every event that ever ended, all years and all organizers together, and the All view mixes them with the new ones.

The settings can delete expired events 30 days later or right after they finish. Then the history is gone.

In people’s words

Expired, but not finished with

On WP Event Manager sites, events come in from many organizers and then expire. People want to keep the expired ones, use them again, and see whose they are.

Many people add events to the site. In the All Events list, it would help to see who created each one.

Expired events still matter for search. We want them kept in the sitemap, not dropped.

A past event is the best template for the next one. With a lot of events, starting each one from scratch is not handy.

Folders give expired events a place by year, organizer or series. Their status, pages and addresses stay as they are.

Folders that match how events reach your site

Expired events by year

Move expired events into “Expired 2025”. They keep their status and their pages. The list you work in shows what is coming.

By organizer or client

If several groups post events on your site, give each one a folder and see their events in one click.

Online or on site

A folder for online events and one for each place, just for your team.

By season or series

Spring 2026, summer markets, monthly meetups: one folder per series makes the next round easy to plan.

Organizers and venues too

Organizers and venues are lists of their own in WP Event Manager. Each gets its own folder tree, for example venues by city.

What you get

Folders on three WP Event Manager lists

Events

The panel sits beside the events list. Click a folder and the list shows only its events.

Organizers

Organizers get their own folder tree, separate from events.

Venues

Venues get their own folder tree too.

A Folder column and a link

Every row shows its folder. The address changes when you open a folder, so you can bookmark it or send it to a teammate.
